My family and I immigrated to USA in 1981 from India. After completion of my Physician husband’s training, we settled in Voorhees, NJ ( South Jersey ). At that time both our sons were studying in College. I worked as Office Manager in my husband’s Medical office for about 23 years.

After retiring I was looking to do something interesting to enjoy my retirement. After checking many different activities, I decided to learn to play Bridge. Since I never played Bridge before, I found a great teacher Bernadette Hennessy May and took classes for two years in 2016. Then I kept playing Bridge at South Jersey Bridge Center with some nice experienced players from whom I learned a lot. Recently due to Covid-19, I play Bridge online. I always work hard to achieve my goal in whatever I do. Also my Dear Late Brother Lalit was a great Bridge player in Connecticut, so this is the best tribute I can give to him. Besides my husband, my both sons and daughters in law and my four beautiful grandchildren always support me and want me to do even better. Last but not least, I like to express my gratitude to District 4 and you for this recognition.
