Betty Youmans – Sapphire Life Master
How could I possibly top the great write-up that my brother, Rich Hartz, wrote?
I would only add that it has been my privilege to teach bridge (in pre-pandemic days) at my local club (Mohawk Valley Bridge Association).
Further, the many friendships that I have made over the years while playing bridge have certainly enriched my life.
I have played in many tournaments in District 4 and elsewhere. I am always impressed with the hard work and dedication of the tournament organizers and directors. I look forward to co-chairing regionals in Syracuse and Rochester when face-to-face play resumes.
Before the pandemic, I did not play on BBO. Now I play daily (often multiple games a day). BBO has allowed me to connect with partners who live in Canada, Virginia and Florida as well as my favorite partner, my brother, Rich.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to share my enthusiasm for bridge and the importance it has in my life.
