Rowland Surpasses 25,000 MasterPoints!
Rick Rowland of Wilmington, Delaware, has achieved the remarkable milestone of surpassing 25,000 masterpoints. His journey in bridge began as a student at Bucknell University, where he would often sit in as the fourth player for his friends, sparking a lifelong passion for the game.
Despite facing significant health challenges in recent years, Rick remained steadfast in his commitment to reaching this milestone. He is a regular at the Bridge Studio of Delaware and is frequently seen playing online late into the night.
Rick has claimed victory in hundreds of sectional and regional events throughout his bridge career. In 2010, he attained the title of Grand Life Master by winning the Truscott/USPC Senior Swiss Teams, partnering with Tom Weik and teaming up with Ken Cohen and Neal Satten.
Rick won his second national title in 2017, once again triumphing in the Senior Swiss Teams. This victory saw him paired with Marty Rabinowitz, and joined by long-time friends, Bob and Joann Glasson.
