Philadelphia Regional – 2024

This year, the chosen charity for the Philadelphia Regional is the Upper Merion Area Community Cupboard.  Their primary mission is to provide food-sufficiency for individuals within their borders.  They secondarily work to raise awareness of community needs and to nurture empathy and compassion for those in need.  We hope you will consider donating to this worthy cause.  More information about the organization and sought-after items for donation, can be found at this link:

Tuesday 9:00am – Speaker Joann Glasson; Topic – Opening Leads

Joann Glasson is a Grand Life Master with over 10,000 master points. She has won 8 National Championships and 3 medals in World competition. She loves teaching intermediate bridge online at her popular Monday morning bridge classes.

Wednesday 9:00am – Speaker Trina Williams; Topic – How Weak are Weak Two-Bids?

Trina is a Gold Life Master with over 2,500 master points who takes great pleasure working with newer players.  A former Mathematics teacher, now retired, she enjoys playing bridge in downstate Delaware clubs.

Thursday 9:00am – Speaker Ala Hamilton Day; Topic – Do I cover?

As co-chair of the Philadelphia 2025 summer NABC, Vice President of District 4, and a board member of Unit 190, Ala has been focusing on bridge administration and helps coordinate intermediate/newcomer activities in District 4. She likes black coffee and dark chocolate, but she adores this fabulous game of ours!
